Local Team Wins Soccer Tournament
The Pittsburgh Football Club’s Under 13, Boys Soccer team, traveled to Central Pennsylvania to participate in the Dillsburg Dual Shoot-out Soccer Tournament over the Columbus Day Weekend.
The team went 5 and 1 to take 1st place in the U13 A Division Bracket with wins over FC Strikers from Middleburg, PA; the Gladiators from Northern Carroll County, MD; the Blue Devils from Central Carroll County, MD; Mechanicsburg, PA U13; and Westminster Soccer Assoc (WSA) from Westminster, MD; out scoring their opponents 12 goals to 3.
The only loss came to the team from Mechanicsburg, PA, whom they defeated in a rematch en-route to the Championship.
The Pittsburgh Football Club team plays locally in the PA West U13 age group. The team is 4 and 0 in local play, outscoring their opponents 24 goals to 2.
