PITTSBURGH FOOTBALL CLUB AND THE SOCCER PARENTING ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP PROVIDING SUPPORT AND EDUCATION TO YOUTH SOCCER PARENTS VIA MYSOCCERPARENTING.COM

PITTSBURGH, PA, AUGUST 24, 2017  - The Pittsburgh Football Club and the Soccer Parenting Association today announce a partnership agreement by which all families associated with the Pittsburgh Football Club will now receive free access to the educational content on the MySoccerParenting.com platform.

MySoccerParenting.com seeks to improve and enhance the experience for youth soccer players by engaging and supporting the players’ parents on topics related to the Body, Mind, Coach, Parent, Next Level and the Game. The Pittsburgh Football Club, founded in 2001, currently serving close to 300 players and families are dedicated to creating soccer players, coaches and teams of solid character who are committed to high levels of achievement on the field and in their communities.

According to the National Alliance of Youth Sports and reported in the Aspen Institute “State of Play” report, 70% of youths stop participating in organized sports by the age of 13.  While there are many reasons for this unfortunate trend, engaging parents in the game and providing them with education and guidance related to the youth soccer experience of their child is an important step towards reversing this trend.

“The investment the Pittsburgh Football Club is making towards positively affecting the lives of the players and families associated with their club is commendable.  We are proud to work with the Pittsburgh Football Club and are encouraged by their commitment to make a positive impact in their community through sport,” said Skye Eddy Bruce, Founder of the Soccer Parenting Association.

Pittsburgh Football Club’s Director of Coaching, Kelly Mehalko, says “We are very excited to offer this educational platform to our families! The Soccer Parenting Association is consistent with Pittsburgh Football Club’s values and mission to create players who are committed to excellence in life.    Skye, is a pioneer in the growth and improvement of the youth game of soccer.  She does a wonderful job of sharing up to date, relative information that will educate parents which in turn will allow their children a more enjoyable playing experience.”
